Dr. Melodie Wallace was born in Houston, Texas. She attended Trinity University and received her bachelor’s degree in Biology. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 1985 from the University of Houston College of Optometry. After graduation, she worked in the Houston area until she moved to San Antonio in 1998.
Dr. Wallace is a board certified Therapeutic Optometrist. Her practice specialties include: family eye care, laser vision co-management, and specialty contact lenses.
She has two daughters, Lyssa and Leah. Lyssa has decided to follow in her mother’s footsteps and has been accepted into the UIW Rosenberg School of Optometry. Leah is finishing her degree at UIW in hopes of becoming a sports psychologist.
Dr. Wallace is the youngest international synchronized swimming judge to date. She enjoys working out, traveling, and most importantly, the Spurs. She has always been known to put others before herself, and provides her patients with the utmost care. She works hard to make sure her patients have a positive experience when visiting her office, and that they leave satisfied.
Sara brings almost ten years of experience in optometry, opthamology, and insurance to our practice. Originally from Midland, Michigan, she moved to San Antonio in 2005. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Paul, and her three Dogs, Daisy, Trixie, and Violet. Sara also enjoys hiking, exploring the Texas hill country, reading, writing, baking, and anything she sees on Pinterest. She loves a good joke! Call or come in and Sara will be more than happy to help you with any questions or concerns you might have.
Justin was born in Tyler, Texas. In 2007 he moved to San Antonio to attend the University of the Incarnate Word. He was a four-year starter for the UIW men’s soccer team and received his bachelor’s degree in Biology in 2011. He will attend the University of Texas School of Dentistry in the fall of 2013.
Amy is a native San Antonian who received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She has a combined 20 years of experience in optometric and opthalmic assisting and is a Certified Opthalmic Assistant. She enjoys shopping, movies and reading. Amy hopes to one day travel Europe. If you happen to stop by the office on a Saturday, you will see Amy’s smiling face and she will be more than happy to help you!
