Dr. Deeba Chaudri has been practicing Optometry for over 15 years. Her experience includes practicing full scope optometry with a specialized emphasis on contact lens fittings, including specialty fits and multifocal/bifocal contact lenses. She is also trained in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease and infections and the treatment of dry eyes.
Dr. Chaudri was the Regional Director of Eyecare for Lenscrafters from 2008-2011. She supervised and trained 34 optometrists to provide cutting edge quality of care to our patients. Dr. Chaudri received a Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry and a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada.
Dr. Chaudri was recently featured as an Eye Expert on the Dr. OZ television show. You can view her appearance here. She has also been featured in the Health.com article titled “9 Mistakes that Mess with Your Eyes”, which you can read here, was featured in “Review of Optometry/Women in Optometry” here and has also appeared in “Prevention Magazine”.
Dr. Chaudri resides in Brooklyn with her husband and enjoys traveling, trying new foods, and getting a Zumba workout into her busy schedule.
Dr. Christina Chu
Dr. Chu graduated from SUNY College of Optometry in 2012. She performs comprehensive eye exams including contact lenses fittings, with a specialization in pediatric care. Her experience working in Woodhull Hospital, allowed her to further diagnose and treat ocular diseases. During her time in optometry school, she also received her Masters in Vision Science with her research on computer vision syndrome (CVS). She has published multiple papers on CVS, done poster presentations at the American Academy Optometry Meeting and meetings for the Association for Vision and Ophthalmology. She also had a presentation about CVS at the American Academy of Optometry Meeting in 2010.
Dr. Chu has always been a city person, getting her Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry from Barnard College, Columbia University. In her free time, just like any city gal, she likes shopping and eating amazing food. She also has trained and completed Disney World’s Dopey Challenge which entails running 4 marathons in 4 days (5K, 10K, Half marathon, and Full marathon).
Dr. Eliza Yaghoubian
Dr. Eliza Yaghoubian is a residency trained optometrist and a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. She received her OD degree from SUNY College of Optometry in 2006 and completed a residency specializing in primary care, ocular disease and vision rehabilitation at Northport VAMC.
She holds privileges at the Northport VAMC where she trains residents and works closely with veterans. Her areas of expertise include soft and rigid contact lens fittings, dry eye treatment, management and treatment of glaucoma and other ocular diseases, as well as vision rehabilitation and low vision.
Dr. Yaghoubian is multi-lingual and comfortable with both pediatric and geriatric populations. She was also recently featured in Vision Monday magazine and Inside Edition.
